some problems with CNI2

Message par tumb1er » Dim 17 Mai 2020 18:54

Hello, i am from Belarus, sorry for my english))
i have laguna 2 ph1 and i have installed cni2, connect all sensors: safety belt, radio switch under the steering wheel, exterior sensor temperature, exit temperature to climate control. all working, but i have some problems:

first problem is that the radio does not correctly interpret the temperature outside the window. radio tape recorder incorrectly interprets the temperature outside the window and displays with a difference of ~ 17 degrees, that is, if it is +15 overboard, the display displays -2.

second problem: I want to get access to the system settings but asks for a four-digit code. "Please enter acces code to select a system function". where can i find it?

the third problem, although this is not even a problem, but my misunderstanding. I have a renault CAN CLIP, but I don’t understand whether the multimedia system should be displayed in the multiplex tree of the car and can I access the configuration of CNI2 settings through the Clip if I connect the CAN-H and CAN-L lines to the radio.

I read MR manuals but couldn’t find anything sensible there on these issues.
thanks in advance.

You can use CNI1 screen : it's compatible to CNI2.

I have done the same thing as you on my Laguna 2;

You may double check the connectivity of temperature sensor (you have 3 cables;)

2 of them are used from temperature sensor;
The lastest is use to put info on air-conditionner regulator.

I think you've just permuted 2 cable for temperature.

You may not connect CNI2 CAN on CAN-H / CAN-L of vehicule... You may hang car calculators... (air-bag.. and others.. )

To use Diag-tool you may use pin 12 and 13 of ODB-2 instead of 6 and 14.

Hi! thanks for the answer!
I did not know about the display, but I installed the entire panel from phase 2

what about the sensor connection wire, I connected all 3, two from the sensor to the head unit, and one that gives information for the air conditioning computer. I figured out with this moment, but the temperature is not displayed correctly, although everything works correctly with the old display from phase 1

in the MR-manuals there is a description that in Renault there is no сan-m bus for media devices. but there is a description of the fact that when building a multiplex network diagram of a car, media should be displayed. if necessary, I can make screenshots of diagnostics and MR manuals. Well, connecting a CAN bus is more a purely sporting interest than a necessity)))

but the correct temperature display is a problem for me

I have the same issue with my CNI2.

I think this is a false-contact on V24 plug.

You may use "contact cleaner" to try to solve this issue.

I want to try to install a mirror from phase 2 with an updated temperature sensor, maybe this will be a solution to the problem. but I don’t know what will happen first: I will replace the mirror or change cni2 to cnc. if I have a solution, I will reply in this thread.

The temp sensor is the same beetween Phase1 and Phase 2.

If you want to verify (before replace sensor), you may check with the original display. I think there is a issue with sensor input of CNI2.

If you want to replace CNI2 by CNC... you will have problem with the place of joystick. But CNC is better.

2 others problem
* CNC use Can bus to get info about light and sit-belt . You cannot connect Can bus of CNC on Phase 1... or you will hang UCH....
Then, no display of sit-belt.. You have to put it on other place
And, no switch night/Day when you put light on your car.

A friend make this for me :

And I modify the dashboard
Image
To have sitbelt led.

My issue of "bugged temperature" is solved by putting contact cleaner spray on V24 plug. And plug of motorised mirror.

what do you mean I will hang UCH? CNC will break the Can network? I wondered, it's a pity there is no kit on hand to connect and look.

CNC will hang some ECU.

When I connect CNC on CNI2 CAN to Laguna 2 Can, I hang my ABS ECU.

CNC CAN trames are not compatible with Laguna 2 phase 1.

finally got around to figure out the temperature overboard, yes, the wire from the sensor was indeed incorrectly connected, throw it over and everything worked correctly. but the climate control did not blow correctly. can someone tell me where to find the v24 pinout? I have renault EWD diagrams, but I already seem to have checked everything, but I can’t find the pinout on cni 2
