replacing the CNC with ugly tomtom.. allows to have an up-to-date system.. but lesser quality system.

I'm not sure that Carminat TomTom Live is a less quality system. Hasn't CD charger and a big display but it can work with Bose system and have GSM interface for TomTom Live service in addiction to classic TMC.
I have tried to ask for an update outside the Renault/Nissan official channel but unfortunately no one has ever answered and in my opinion is not possible to make it work with a DVD of other brands because they are too different.
I think we need to replace it with a Carminat TomTom or to develop an updated disk externally (but we have to get format information from Xanavi/Zenrin and can be a very expensive process, more that a Carminat replacement).
I would not give up using a portable GPS

If you want to change your system, You have to do it yourself
I know the CNC (I put it on my car).
I don't know the interractions between vehicule and carminat tomtom.

I think this is more difficult to install correctly a tomtom.. (to have sound. in vehicule).

Some people would like to upgrade there non-bose system to bose system.. same answer as your when you ask to change CNC to tomtom.. it's not easy

If some body know how install a Carminat tomtom or rlink.. on a véhicule without interraction with vehicule.. it may be possible to change CNC to Tomtom.. If there is specific programm on a véhicul to allow Tomtom working.. it's leads to echec.

Therefore probably I also need to re-program the control unit of the car with Renault Can-Clip....
But my model of Laguna had (ironically) Carminat TomTom in some lower configurations therefore, theoretically, there shouldn't present great problems of compatibility...at least I hope.
In any case must be replaced many parts:
- Stereo unit with model without 6-CD charged (my amplifier seems to be compatible)
- Navigation display unit (Ecran A7)
- Whole multimedia cable
- Joystick with cable
- Steering wheel controls with cable
This operation is very complex and expensive....
At the moment I asked again to Zenrin more information about data format of the maps, we hope that they respond me.
Otherwise I saw online that there are Android aftermarket systems for Laguna, someone has ever seen them or tried?

There is no integration with vehicule.

I say this because they conserves the original lcd display wich is responsible of weel remote.


This system is totally independant of the vehicule.

There forgot (intentionnaly) to put picture of GPS function.. strange.

I agree with you: I think CNC is better, It's not worth doing the work.
Zenrin replied me that map data is recognized as a one of the parts provided for car manufacturer and do not supply these parts
directly to individual customer. Practically the same answer that I had already received last year...
HERE/Navteq told me that they only provide map data which are then processed by other companies to produce the disk (probably europe division of Zenrin using Clarion/Xanavi specifications).
Clarion told me that would help me to find the information on how to develop maps, but then you are no longer heard anything (the last time they were trying to contact a representative to the Clarion Japan).
Maybe there is really no possibility of upgrading the Carminat CNC

Non, il n'y a pas de version plus récente : Renault a abandonné ses clients pour ce GPS.

Il existe un moyen de prendre une carte d'une autre voiture? Opel, BMW, Mercedes? NAVTEQ fait des cartes pour ces voitures

Oui, Navteq fait des cartes pour d'autres systèmes.

Mais tous les systèmes compatibles avec le CNC.. ont vu leurs mises à jour arrêtées au même moment que pour le CNC.

Donc, c'est mort

Donc toujours rien de neuf pour une mise à jour cartographique pour CNC. Vu le nombre dz véhicules équipé c'est assez surprenant

Je vienss d'aquerir une lag 3 avec le CNC en version 30.1, y a t'il un intérêt a passer a la version 32.2 ?
C'est une MAJ des cartos et radars ?

On ne perds rien, on est juste gagnant ?

Si on peut appeler ca gagnant car c'est une 2012... La honte quand meme sur ce coup là chez RENAULT !!! Aucune logique...

La 32.2 n'est plus en vente. Ce qui se trouve à 20 ou 30 balles sur le boncoin, c'est de la contrefaçon de merde..

Le support de radar France est désactivé dans la 32.2 pour être conforme à la loi Française.

J'ai moi même une 30.1 dans ma voiture (originale).. et d'après celui qui me l'a filée (car il a achetée une 32.1).. il n'y a pas suffisamment de différences pour justifier ce changement.

Donc : garde ta 30.1 ça t'évitera d'enrichir un faussaire tout en évitant de gaspiller ton argent pour rien

J'ai publié sur le FB de renault mon mécontentement... Ils m'ont renvoyé vers un service support. C'est assez frais ils m'ont deja dit que les délais serait long mais j'imagine que la dynamique d'un nouveau service pourrait considérer mon mail de mécontentement sachant que ma laguna était neuve en 2012 date a laquelle ils ont decider d'arrêter les MAJ ... Un peu honteux...
