Insert POI

Good evening.
Does anyone has tryed to edit the carindb database to insert new poi?
I have found a software mostly used by bmw people: pymp-my-nav (www.pimp-my-nav.com): does anyone know if this
software is compatible with our navigation system?. Editor says that is compatible with MK.III and MK.IV, but i can't determine
if my system is one of that.
My system is CNI-1, 0530, nav6-V2, 2004 (updated today thanks to your's site!)
